The spaceship floated gently, anchored by a beam of lavender
light to the earth below. Round in shape and glowing warmly, it
looked like a gigantic old Christmas tree ornament fallen from
the sky. The ship landed on Earth purposefully, the intelligence
commanding it beyond navigational error. Yet an error was about
